"Girls with Guitars" Dec 3rd at Bost Harley Davidson

Girls with Guitars” – December 3, 2011

NASHVILLE, TN – The NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage at Bost Harley-Davidson , the first Saturday of every month from 10:00AM-2:00PM, is hosting a great themed event on December 3rd, featuring “Girls with Guitars.” This showcase will feature the talented ladies of songwriting who have graced the NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage this past year. They play, they sing, they write lyrics that reach us in different ways, and you will most certainly want to come out and enjoy this performance. These are all acoustic sets of original music and are free and open to the public. So, grab your friends and come on out! Each of these songwriters have gone through an online submission process to audition, which ensures the quality of talent for these events, as opposed to your average “open mic” stage. NashvilleEar.com encourages every writer to pursue their passion, but they also understand that hosting a quality event will encourage more venues to open their doors for great original music.
Bost Harley-Davidson will also be offering free coffee and donuts (while they last) on this day, and they will also have in-store specials you won’t want to miss. It IS the Christmas season…and if your dreams is owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, they are offering a great $1000 Bost Gift Card with the purchase of a New Big Twin! You can use the card for parts, accessories, motorclothes…the possibilities are endless! So, come out and shop their inventory and hear some great songwriters as well.

Cody Walden is a true lyric wordsmith from Georgia.

Cody is one of thoes guys who moved to Nashville to become a songwriter... well this guy has a better than average shot at songwriting for a living. Go listen to how it supposed to be done. Cody writes smooth lyrics that tell a story and paint a picture in your mind. I try to tell songwriters to do what Cody does already. Great songs each and every one. He has one about his Father called "Please Dont Call My Dad". One excellent piece of work. Give it a listen if you have a few minutes to enjoy songwriting at its best. Oh yeah he is one great finger picking guitar player also.... Enjoy!

Best song from the October 19th 2011 Fontanel show

I have started to pick one song from each show that had the best lyrics and told the best story from each of our Songwriter Stages. We had several that were good this week, but this one brought back memories of my childhood. "Please Dont Tell My Dad" is performed by Cody Walden from south Georgia. Enjoy!

The Spirit of Janis Joplin lives again in Crystal Chandler

Rarely do I see a songwriter who sings from the heart like Crystal Chandler. She sings from the heart each song. A powerful vocal display on every song is a treasure to see and hear. I thought I saw the reincarnation of Janis Joplin while watching her entire set. Dont miss this performance at Bost Harley Davidson from Oct 1st.

Show at the Fontanel Wed Mar 9th was fantastic

The Wed night show at the Fontanel was fantastic. We had Brit Stokes and two of his buddies. Justin Zimmern on lead guitar with a classic Martin guitar and one of the best bass players in Nashville Jerry Lee Lombs. They played for just under an hour, kicking out some of the best songs I have heard in quite a while. We also had Renee Wahl, Mike Mitchell and Alica Smith all contribuiting good music to the nights festivities. Here is a link to one of Brit Stokes songs:
