Jeremy Dean plays the Bluebird Cafe..

Jeremy Dean never seems to stop amazing me at how darn good he is... Jeremy played the Bluebird for his third time recently. He brought with him Dave LaGrande, Brittany Blaire and Jim Huish to make some seriously good music. He writes all his own music... sometimes with co-writers and sometimes without. Jeremy is the host of the NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage so I am pretty close with Jeremy and I can tell you that this is a songwriters songwriter! He lives and breaths music all day everyday.
Here is a link to his recent performance on the Bluebird stage. He is singing "This Door" a song that he and Janet Hattabaugh (both pictured above) wrote last year. An excellent song done perfectly with vocal backup from Brittany Blaire and Dave LaGrande on keyboard.

2012 "Best of the Best" on NashvilleEar.com

Harlan Pease Is Best of the Best For NashvilleEar.com

Harlan Pease has been picked as the 2012 “Best of the Best” for the NashvilleEar.com. The Nashville Ear has been selecting the best all round songwriter for 4 years now. Harlan Pease demonstrates the “Best of the Best” qualities of the professional songwriter. His dedication and professionalism to the songwriting community is demonstrated by is actions this year. He is always working towards his goal. He plays all over Nashville in many writers nights at various venues. He writes songs with many other songwriters. His songs are very well written lyrically as well as adding a great musical score to make his songs memorable and unique. His guitar playing is as good, if not better than 95% of the performers we have had on our NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage events. He has brought with him notable songwriters to share the stage from time to time. He also helps other songwriters who can sing but are challenged with playing the guitar by playing for them. Harlan has played several times with songwriters on both of the NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stages to help others present their songs. Harlan has performed numerous times on the Songwriter Stage by himself. His songs are funny and thoughtful at the same time. He shows his warm personality in between songs with his witty banter and self deprecating humor. The NashvilleEar has been impressed over and over with his lyrics, his guitar playing and his vocal abilities. Go to Nashville Ear’s “Best of the Best” page and check out some of his videos and enjoy his music.

"Girls with Guitars" Dec 3rd at Bost Harley Davidson

Girls with Guitars” – December 3, 2011

NASHVILLE, TN – The NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage at Bost Harley-Davidson , the first Saturday of every month from 10:00AM-2:00PM, is hosting a great themed event on December 3rd, featuring “Girls with Guitars.” This showcase will feature the talented ladies of songwriting who have graced the NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage this past year. They play, they sing, they write lyrics that reach us in different ways, and you will most certainly want to come out and enjoy this performance. These are all acoustic sets of original music and are free and open to the public. So, grab your friends and come on out! Each of these songwriters have gone through an online submission process to audition, which ensures the quality of talent for these events, as opposed to your average “open mic” stage. NashvilleEar.com encourages every writer to pursue their passion, but they also understand that hosting a quality event will encourage more venues to open their doors for great original music.
Bost Harley-Davidson will also be offering free coffee and donuts (while they last) on this day, and they will also have in-store specials you won’t want to miss. It IS the Christmas season…and if your dreams is owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, they are offering a great $1000 Bost Gift Card with the purchase of a New Big Twin! You can use the card for parts, accessories, motorclothes…the possibilities are endless! So, come out and shop their inventory and hear some great songwriters as well.

Cody Walden is a true lyric wordsmith from Georgia.

Cody is one of thoes guys who moved to Nashville to become a songwriter... well this guy has a better than average shot at songwriting for a living. Go listen to how it supposed to be done. Cody writes smooth lyrics that tell a story and paint a picture in your mind. I try to tell songwriters to do what Cody does already. Great songs each and every one. He has one about his Father called "Please Dont Call My Dad". One excellent piece of work. Give it a listen if you have a few minutes to enjoy songwriting at its best. Oh yeah he is one great finger picking guitar player also.... Enjoy!

Best song from the October 19th 2011 Fontanel show

I have started to pick one song from each show that had the best lyrics and told the best story from each of our Songwriter Stages. We had several that were good this week, but this one brought back memories of my childhood. "Please Dont Tell My Dad" is performed by Cody Walden from south Georgia. Enjoy!
